How it works
A practical marketplace for Kenyan farm supply and demand.
For buyers
- 1Search published produce and livestock listings by product, category, county, price, and availability.
- 2Open a listing to review the quantity, unit, photos, location, and expected availability.
- 3Sign in as a buyer to send a private inquiry; your dashboard keeps the conversation and the farmer's reply.
- 4Agree on price, pickup, and delivery directly with the seller. Inspect produce or animals before paying.
For farmers
- 1Create a farmer account and complete the profile information you want to share.
- 2Add crops or livestock with photos, price per unit, quantity, location, and availability.
- 3Save a draft while preparing it, then publish it when details are ready. Only published listings appear publicly.
- 4Manage your listings and reply to buyer inquiries from your dashboard.
Trust & safety
- 1Phone numbers stay private by default. A farmer must explicitly opt in before their number is shown publicly.
- 2Listings and directory entries are user-submitted; publication is not a guarantee of seller identity, product quality, or a transaction.
- 3Use the report option for suspicious or misleading listings so a moderator can review them.
- 4ShambaMarket does not hold payments. Avoid advance deposits, meet in a safe public place when possible, and confirm quantity, grade, unit, and price before agreeing.
